Snort performance decreases as the traffic on the network increases. To handle packet loss, some load balancing techniques are used. In this paper, we implement Snort a network function virtualization (NFV). The objective is to reduce the packet loss in case of higher traffic flows. In our research we have implemented snort as Virtual Network Function (VNF). The proposed research is implemented, and different experiments are carried out.
