Edukasi Bahaya Rokok bagi Anak dan Remaja di Kilometer 14 Distrik Klaurung Kelurahan Klablim Kota Sorong Provinsi Papua Barat Daya

The influence of friendship, lack of attention and education in the family can be a reason for children and adolescents getting to know and trying cigarettes. To support the government's efforts to reduce the number of smokers, socialization was carried out for children and adolescents at kilometer 14 of the Klablim Village, Klaurung district, Sorong City, to provide information on the negative effects of smoking on health, with the hope that more children and adolescents will understand and be aware of the dangers of smoking so that it can produce healthy young people. This education is carried out by means of socialization in the form of lectures, which are carried out through 3 stages, that is preparation, implementation and evaluation. The material presented consisted of the understanding of smoking and smoking behavior, several factors that influence smoking habits, the dangers of smoking and tips for quitting smoking. The evaluation results showed that 88.23% of the participants understood well the material presented, about the dangers of smoking.
