Here we discuss measurement of preheat in our high pressure Hugoniot studies and present results for the principal Hugoniot of triacrylate foam at pressures up to 1 Mb. Michelson interferometer results demonstrate spallation in shocked aluminum enabling us to quantify the spall thickness and strength.
