Deterministically polarized, room temperature source of single photons based on single-emitter fluorescence in aligned liquid crystal hosts
We demonstrated for the first time to our knowledge deterministically polarized fluorescence from single dye molecules. Planar aligned nematic liquid crystal hosts provide deterministic alignment of single dye molecules in a preferred direction.
