Designing an Energy Monitoring, Analysing and Solution Providing System for Energy Auditing
An energy auditing system inspects and analyses the flow of energy to reduce energy consumption without affecting the quantity and quality of productions, undesirably. Energy auditing is the first step of identifying the opportunities for energy saving, both in commercial and residential applications. Industrial energy auditing has become an important task due to increasing energy cost. To address these issues, in this research we focus on developing an energy monitoring and analysing system for industries. Our system mainly consists of a software implementation which provide real time and remote monitoring, energy data saving, real time data plotting according to user requirements, analysing measured data, recognizing problems in the system and providing technical suggestions for the demand side management in industries such as power factor correction and load shifting. Additional features such as emergency situation warnings are also implemented in this system. Experimental results show that the system we introduce is capable of improving energy management in industries as well as in residential applications.
