Analysis of H-polarized Plane Wave Scattering by Inhomogeneous Dielectric Cylinder of Arbitrary Cross Section
A 2D problem of scattering of H-polarized plane wave by a dielectric cylinder consisting of a homogeneous core of circular cross-section and an inhomogeneous cover of arbitrary cross section is considered. A modification of the hybrid projection method is developed for its solution including the case when the core is a perfectly conducting cylinder. Some results of application of the method for calculation of the characteristics of scattering by a homogeneous elliptic cylinder, a perfectly conducting circular cylinder with homogeneous and inhomogeneous plasma shell, as well as a half-cylindrical Maxwell fish-eye lens are presented and discussed. The results corresponding to the cases of homogeneous permittivity are compared to the reference data obtained with use of the method of auxiliary sources.
