Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was carried out based on data collected from the Research Group on Lifestyle Modification and Cardiovascular Risk (MERC). Two-day food records and 24-hour food recall were used to assess consumption. To evaluate the quality of the participants’ diet, the MDS-A was used. After classification, the data were stored in an Excel database and analyzed using descriptive statistics (frequency, mean and standard deviation of the mean). Results: The quality of the diet of 54 individuals was analyzed. The classification indicating low quality of the diet according to the MDS-A was the most prevalent (74.07%), followed by low-moderate (19.10%) and moderate (5.55%). The high and very high classifications were the lowest obtained with 1.23% and 0%, respectively. Conclusion: The studied population presented low quality of the diet according to the MDS-A.
