The basis of the use of information technologies in higher education and science research is the system analysis qualitative combination of methods. During the research the existing base of scientific literature, methods of analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, concretization, methods of generalization and analogies were used. As a result of the research, it was found that the introduction of information technology in the field of science and higher education is of great importance for the actual development in these fields. It will be helpful for the professional training of specialists capable of developing selected spheres and competing in the modern labor market. In the course of the research, the main indicators which conduct to the increasing the level of information literacy were identified. A number of advantages and disadvantages of information technologies in the scientific and educational sphere use are highlighted. One identified the main tasks of using information technologies in the field of science and higher education. The main advantages of information system in the process of learning in higher educational institutions use are highlighted. 今天,信息技术是对全世界以及拉脱维亚的教育和科学体系质量产生强烈影响的最重要因素之一。信息技术在高等教育与科学研究中应用的基础是系统分析与定性相结合的方法。在研究过程中,运用了现有的科学文献基础,运用了分析、综合、归纳、演绎、具体化、概括、类比等方法。通过研究发现,在科学和高等教育领域引入信息技术对于这些领域的实际发展具有重要意义。这将有助于培养能够在选定领域发展并在现代劳动力市场上竞争的专家。在研究过程中,确定了促进信息素养水平提高的主要指标。强调了信息技术在科学和教育领域使用的一些优点和缺点。一份报告确定了在科学和高等教育领域使用信息技术的主要任务。强调了信息系统在高校学习过程中使用的主要优势。研究结果具有重要的现实意义,可以作为进一步开展这方面工作的基础。
