A paz enquanto dependência: uma análise da dimensão econômica do processo de reconstrução pós-bélica no Timor-Leste
The post-war reconstruction process became the main reference for action in favor of peace in the world after the cold war period. In this sense, studying it corresponds to analyzing which vision of peace, applied in a practical way, is dominant in the world from this period onwards. Thus, the objective of this paper is to identify in the post-war reconstruction process of East Timor the economic dimension impacts of the peacebuilding instrument, from the analytical tools of the Marxist Dependency Theory. The hypothesis is that the role of International Financial Institutions in the economic dimension of East Timor peacebuilding was responsible for creating favorable structures to dependence and, consequently, an incompatible scenario with the new UN perception of peace.
