Based on this system, scientists developed a new genome editing technology—CRISPR / Cas9 technology. CRISPR / Cas9 technology has shown great potential in the treatment of many diseases, bringing new possibilities for the treatment of many diseases. Compared with many traditional therapies, the CRISPR / Cas9 system has higher precision, simpler and more convenient operation, and less chance of off-target effects.
