Remote e-Lab Towards an Integrated Cognitive Experience
Nowadays, the world is witnessing a huge development on the internet, a new revolution that is increasing day after another. We as engineers, we have to keep up with this huge phenomenon, take advantage and use such technology properly to achieve great work. So to take benefit of this great technology, scientists put their sights on developing a new type of labs. This new type of labs is emerged recently. Now engineers are able to use labs and perform experiments whenever they want, wherever they are. This new type of labs is called "remote labs". So in order to keep up with this new phenomenon, the aim of this paper is to implement a remote lab in The German University in Cairo (GUC). This lab works on connecting all the engineers all over the world and helps them to improve theories and research. The implementation of this remote lab will be with minimum cost possible, but while maintaining the effectiveness of the remote lab. Proving its effectiveness is done by controlling of balancing bi-copter mechanism experiment, including detailing our conducted experiments. The experiments worked successfully. One of the experiments done was balancing the bi-copter at a reference angle of 0 with proportional gain of 1 with overshoot 40 degrees and settling time 16 seconds.
