In the first half of the 20th century, it was an important place and center of female higher education in China. With the shift of gender conception, the college has become an important sign of interaction among society, culture, and education, as well as its transition and transformation. However, affected by both research orientation of neutralization and traditional historical approach after the establishment of People’s Republic of China (PRC), it has been marginalized in historiography of education. Therefore, it has been forgotten by people gradually and even with some misunderstandings.
