In the use of electric energy, the distribution network is a key link for users, and the safe operation of the distribution network directly affects the safety and reliability of power supply. This article summarizes the safety issues and inefficiencies caused by the traditional distribution network inspection methods, and introduces a new type of intelligent inspection management system. The intelligent inspection management system of the distribution network uses modern technical means to integrate the Production Management System (PMS), Geographic Information System (GIS), Radio Frequency Identification technology (RFID), Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), UAV inspection (UAV inspection) and Video Online Monitoring (Video Online Monitoring) are used in the operation, maintenance and overhaul of the distribution network. Make the inspection work of the distribution network more intelligent, informational and convenient, and can find and solve problems in a timely and effective manner. In this system, PMS is established based on an expert system, which can intelligently dispatch tasks and store equipment information; using GIS to accurately locate the position of the pole and tower, facilitate inspections and maintenance, and update the one-line diagram in real time; the intelligent identification technology basing on RFID, it can easily identify the inherent risks, defects and hidden dangers of the equipment are convenient for timely tracking and closed-loop; PDA can realize paperless office, improve the efficiency of on-site operation, and realize interconnection and intercommunication with PMS; the applications of UAV inspection and Video Online Monitoring technology make the distribution network’s inspection work is even more powerful and reduces the labor intensity of the staff.
