In both cases the general condition of patients improved and consciousness returned. After exchange transfusions with plasmapheresis the serum levels of bilirubin, urea and ammonia decreased. Exchange transfusion with plasmapheresis in the management of hepatic coma.
In two cases of hepatic coma following advanced liver cirrhosis exchange transfusions were applied with plasmapheresis.
