This study aimed to analyze the students’ perspectives on online learning effectiveness. The analysis involved identifying the online media used for classes, learning quality and satisfaction, and the students’ learning preferences. The data were collected using a semi-structured questionnaire in an online survey from 125 students from five universities in Riau Archipelagos. The result showed that online classes should be limited to 1-2 hours to avoid monotonous learning.
