Effects of the substrate on the optical properties of plasmonic subwavelength apertures
It is shown that the optical properties of metallic nano-apertures on dielectric substrates exhibit dramatically different behaviors than apertures immersed in dielectrics and scale with refractive index more complicatedly than predicted by analytical models.
