We present a novel adaptive super-resolution (SR) technique that adaptively controls the quality enhancement rate and computation time. Due to the capability of enhancing the quality of video chunks at the user device side, the transmitter can aggressively transcode video chunks to reduce the delivery latency and power consumption. Also, adaptive SR can control the tradeoff between playback stall rate and CPU consumption of the user device.
