The Sapardi Djoko Damono poetry Sonnet X served as the basis for this study. According to Molina and Albir, the poem was translated using five different techniques: transposition/shift, literal translation, amplification/addition, reduction/omission, and modulation. Transposition/shift is the most popular translating method.
