Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s Views on Literature and Her Creative Practice

Famous Nigerian writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie believes that the role of literature is to instruct and delight. Her realist literary creation focuses on Nigeria’s post-colonial cultural and political reconstruction, as well as race, gender and class in a cross-cultural context, which reflects her Igbo, Nigerian and African “sensibility” and a certain cosmopolitan stance.
