Congo This paper presents 218 proverbs collected among the Nsong, a Bantu-speaking people from the Bandundu Province in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Each proverb is given in the original language, Nsong, followed by a literary translation which is as close as possible to the original proverb and by a comment on its signification and context of use.
