To design a sliding mode controller, the pole assignment method is used. The equivalent control method makes it possible to determine the existence of the sliding regime in the state space. A pulse-width-modulated (PWM) control technique method makes possible AC sine voltage generation. Under high-frequency control switchings, there is an ideal equivalence among sliding mode control and PWM.
