A Proposal of Frequency Assigning Method for Bluetooth and WLAN Coexistence in 2.4GHz Band
In recent days, wireless communications receive a lot of attention at factory sites. Manufacturing industry requires enhancement of productivity as well as flexibility to adapt to short product lifecycle and to realize high-mix, low volume production is required for global competitive advantages. In the 2.4 GHz frequency band, the number of wireless devices has increased. In addition, the wireless environment has become more complicated because they use different wireless standards depending on applications. In this paper, we propose a frequency assigning method for uniformed management of both Bluetooth and wireless LANs. We show the effectiveness of the proposed method with actual devices under the situation that the communication efficiency is degraded by a mixture of multiple wireless standards.
