The SVM technique of the indirect matrix converter is aimed to guarantee the control of the semiconductors in good conditions. So, provides balanced output voltages with controllable amplitude and frequency, a maximum value of the ratio between the output and the input voltages and a displacement factor near unity regardless the load.
