The bushing installed in a coastal may be subjected to deposition of airborne particles on the surface of the material. According to IEC60507 solid layer method is used and laboratory test is carried out to find pollution performance of bushing under alternating current (AC) voltage on polluted condition. Dry band formation on the surface of the bushing is one of the main reasons leading to flashover and power outages. In this project, single dry band configurations to predict the critical flashover voltage for the bushing.
