The antenna consists of two semi elliptical patch elements with edge to edge spacing of 0.051 λo at 3.1GHz. The stub is inserted between the two elements at bottom of patch and a rectangle notch is cut on below patch antenna ground plane for isolation enhancement and impedance matching improvement, respectively. The designed antenna has a physical dimensions of 36×28×0.8 mm3 with measured impedance bandwidth (S11<-10dB) from 3.05-7.67GHz. The prototype of MIMO antenna with isolation stub is fabricated and simulation results i.e. .S-parameters, radiation pattern, total efficiency and gain of antenna are validated using experimental measurements.
