LA DAMA DE TLACOJALPAN:ARQUEOMALACOGIA (RECUPERACION DE RASGOS FACIALES, ANALISIS DEL COLLAR Y SU CONTEXTO ARQUEOLOGICO)
Product of excavations carried out at the archaeological site called La Campana in the municipality of Tlacojalpan, as part of the research activities carried out by the project Pre-Hispanic Settlement and Population Pattern in the Lower Basin of Papaloapan. The discovery of a sumptuous burial was made. And so the program-project La Dama de Tlacojalpan arose because it is a female skeleton. Various studies of the skeleton were made, such as the identification of the sex, origin of the race, height and reason for his death. The objective was the facial restitution of this dignitary character. As part of the grave goods, a necklace of 60 olive spicata snails was identified, made with products from the two oceans: the Atlantic and Pacific. Full identification of the origin of the raw material, techniques used for its preparation and traces of use were made.
