Extinction of lossy conductors and its effect on the resonant characteristics of strip-patch resonators
We report here for the first time the effect of lossy conductor with finite thickness on the resonant characteristics of strip-patch resonators. An unexpected behavior found here, especially in the unloaded quality factor, should be taken into account when high-performance microwave and millimeter-wave components are designed with actual lossy conductors Therefore, we discuss thoroughly such a behavior theoretically and experimentally.
