Highly birefringent photonic bandgap fibers and its dispersion properties
A highly birefringent air-guiding photonic bandgap fiber is proposed and its dispersion properties are investigated. It is shown that the fiber has birefringence of the order of 10/sup -3/ and a large amount of group velocity dispersion.
