ЕРОТОЛОШКО ЧИТАЊЕ БОЖЈИХ ЉУДИ БОРЕ СТАНКОВИЋА

In this work, the stories from the collection of God’s people by Bora Stanković are analyzed through an erotological perspective. The individual destinies of individual deities were interpreted in a broader cultural context, where special attention was paid to the conflict between the individual and the patriarchal culture, with special emphasis on the mediating role of deities that transcends the marginalized social position. The different causes of the “falling into madness” of female and male heroes open the issue of gender inequality, because when it comes to heroines, they are mostly self-excluded from the community due to sexual abuse, while heroes are born with psychological problems. Based on the physical description of individual gods and goddesses, it is shown that the culture/subculture distinction does not necessarily imply the erotic/non-erotic distinction, that is, the beautiful/ugly distinction in the domain of aesthetics. In view of the above, the issue of necrophilia as a sexually deviant behavior is open, given that some gods manifest an obsessive passion for crawling into graves.
