ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN STRATEGIES IN 20TH AND 21TH CENTURY ARCHITECTURAL DISCOURSES
Aim: Approaches that consider the concept of space independent from the subject and consider it as a static phenomenon in architectural practice leave their place to approaches which consider the subject together with the senses and experiences and call the place a dynamic concept. The aim of the study is to explain the transformation between these two basic approaches and to reveal the effects of new approaches on the design process. Method: In this study, the milestones in the architectural design environment are discussed through manifestos of the leading architects and residential buildings. These structures, design, conceptualizing expressions, layers, layers of the mapping strategy, geometric structure and production technologies to examine, compare and evaluate the method of the research. Results: The diagrams that summarize the situations in which they relate to each other in a comprehensible way and make decisions based on them are transformed into cartographic diagrams. With the combination of these diagrams and the understanding of cartography which includes more information and layers, it is possible to produce more sensitive and complex designs in today's architectural environment. Conclusion: The open-ended mapping strategy can enable architects to explore and control the complex structure of design. With this method, which mediates the emergence of new connections, forms of intricate relations and a way to produce new sensibilities that are not seen in architecture can be found.
