Synthesis of a System for Adapting and Feeding a Consumer Without Access to the LV Network
This paper is focusing on a system for adapting and feeding a consumer located in remote area, without access to the low voltage (LV) network. A modular single-phase high efficiency AC-DC-AC power converter is the proposed solution, which satisfies the power quality requirements on both the input and output sides. The adopted structure consists of a PWM boost rectifier and a PWM voltage source inverter. After presenting the power system taking into account the imposed requirements, the influence of the inverter modulation index on the switching frequencies and losses and then on the efficiency is analyzed. The energetic performance of the system is evaluated through the complete Simulink model of the closed-loop system, when the main control loop is intended to the direct regulation of the load rms voltage. Compliance with the power quality norms is illustrated too.
