RF output power sensing for low power transmitters in mobile base stations based on antenna switch isolation losses
This paper develops an alternative way of sensing and monitoring the radio frequency output power for a mobile base station transmitter. The solution presented is based on the limited isolation that provides the pin diodes of the commercial antenna switches that are currently being used in mobile communications terminals. The solution has been tested on a commercial GSM triple-band fixed cellular terminal.
