Shadow economy - threat and factor of economic security

The article clarifies the place of shadow economy in the system of economic security ensuring. The authors propose to broaden the traditional view on the understanding of shadow economy exclusively as a threat to economic security. Based of the studying a number of sources representing various standpoints and opinions, the necessety and relevance of the complex investigation of shadow economy as a tool and factor of economic security at different levels of the national economic system is substantiated.
