The aim of the article is to provide an in-depth interpretation of the image of the family in Jan Chryzostom Pasek’s Memoirs. The research has shown that the family is at the center of the world of values of the Mazovian nobleman, setting the goal of his existential aspirations. Ultimately, however, family life causes the author many troubles and worries.
