The open- winding induction motor is fed by two voltage source inverters with isolated dc storage systems. By controlling the inverter output voltages, it is possible to control the motor output power and power flow between two storage devices simultaneously. An energy management system has been developed with three modes of operations, accelerating mode, cruising mode and braking mode depending upon driving condition.
