While their usefulness cannot be denied, there are various reservations regarding the security implications of these systems. In order to utilize these systems to their full potential their security has to be handled properly. This work presents a misuse pattern for an attack that exploits security vulnerabilities of IoT devices to produce a Denial of Service(DoS) situation.
