This paper proposes an intelligent recognition method for home medicine boxes. The drug name position is accurately determined after we preprocess the image photographed by the camera. Then the algorithm recognizes the character and puts it into a database for retrieval. According to the information from the retrieved speech, the algorithm tells the user the name of the drug and how to use it.
