QoS monitoring model of registration procedure for IMS platform
A current trend for telecommunication operators is to move services from network level to application level and to realize these services on platforms. A typical example of such platform is the one dedicated to IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) services. In order to assess and to improve the Quality of Service (QoS) level, it is necessary to implement a strategy through relevant measurements sent by network elements and collected by monitoring tools in order to provide significant indicators. In this paper, we thus introduce a monitoring model in the context of registration procedure for IMS and illustrate the usage of this model in first diagnosis of problems with an IMS platform.
