Benefits such as reducing network losses and pollution have increased the focus on these resources. In this paper, the planning of distributed generation resources with the aim of grid loss minimization has investigated. The research is conducted with regard to the nature and locations of DERS considering the dynamic daily load variations. Furthermore, the uncertainty of the solar and wind power is put into practice. In order to minimize the network loss while meeting the operation constraints, the Slime Mould Algorithm (SMA) is deployed for increasing the plan accuracy and robustness.
