Standard optical fiber long-period gratings with reduced temperature sensitivity for strain and refractive-index sensing
We have shown that long-period gratings with reduced temperature sensitivity can be fabricated in commonly available fibers. These devices possess strain- and refractive-index-induced wavelength shifts comparable to those in previously demonstrated gratings.
