Kapittel 2. Vold i parforhold – fortsatt et likestillingsproblem

This chapter discusses how different ways of understanding and measuring violence have consequences for knowledge production, politics and society’s handling of violence. Different understandings influence which professions and social groups that take responsibility for and are involved in the work against violence and the allocation of resources. The chapter argues that intimate partner violence should be seen as a gender equality problem, while other perspectives, including a health perspective and a legal perspective are also important.
