O CORONEL PREFEITO: um retrato pela imprensa da figura de Arthur Ferreira Filho no rearranjo político no norte do Rio Grande do Sul

This article aims to analyze the profile of Arthur Ferreira Filho 's public management in Passo Fundo, as he was the last pre-constitutional auditor of 1946, establishing a relationship with the political ideas and projects published in the local press. The clipping characterizes the last Arthur Ferreira Filho’s administration in the municipality, marked by a political rearrangement at the state level, which was accompanied by a fiercely contested debate in the press, and especially among its political opponents. Passo Fundo, at ancient was one of the main economic and political poles of the state, being an important electoral base. Like this, it's considered a representative space to understand the scenary in transition in this local and state power play.
