Torque ripple reduction bellow the base speed of the motor is studied through adjustment of both turn-on and turnoff angles. A multiobjective optimization function is used to determine the proper turn-off angle in each operation point. Based on a proposed approach on intersecting of the consecutive phase currents, the turn-on angle is properly adjusted. The proposed method is quite easy to implement and does not need the exact parameters of the motor to run.
