In addition, due to the development of technologies like multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) and generalized MPLS (GMPLS), which can deploy differentiated services (DiffServ), the variation in QoS performance based on the priority assignment is of significant importance. This paper provides a call admission control (CAC) scheme and a theoretical analysis of delay jitter of homogeneous traffic based on a nonpreemptive head-of-the-line (HOL) priority scheme in wireless networks that apply automatic retransmission request (ARQ) to recover the packet errors.
