Green IT as The Basic of Renewable Energy Industry in Facing Competitiveness

This study aims to examine the impact of technological adaptation that sources from company’s external and the implementation of green IT as company’s internal source in the achievement of competitive advantage. The study is conducted quantitatively through survey method to 49 company’s leaders who run in the renewable energy in Indonesia. The analysis study with regression analysis and it is conducted by using analysis tools of SmartPLS. To emphasize the results, it is tested research hypothesis. The research finding is known that technology which sources from company’s external have the correlation in achieving competitive advantage. Furthermore, the implementation of green IT plays more the important role in achieving business performance through competitive advantage. These findings are surely useful for the renewable energy industry in facing the competition, in which it is recommended to adapt always with the changes of technology and its implementations.
