Multi-band UWB signals transmission improvement due to pre-emphasis in LR-PONs using DMLs
The impact of pre-emphasis on the performance of multi-band OFDM-UWB signals in LR-PONs using directly modulated lasers is evaluated. BER improvement from 10-4 to less than 10-6 is experimentally observed after 100 km of SSMF.
