Compared with the method of applying StereoLithography (STL) format, the representation based on a neutral, international standard (ISO10303) STEP-formatted geometric model is more precise. This paper presents theresults of our development of an extraction algorithm, STEP-based standards for the characteristics of rapid prototyping manufacturing data. With extreme tracking method, we extract the characteristics data with surface tangent plane intersection line and directly slice the model. In VC++ and OPENGL programming environment, using of dual circulation list as a data structure, a data acquisition and hierarchical processing is realized, which is based on a neutral document STEP/AP203 of three-dimensional CAD model. 摘要

三维CAD模型分层加工是快速成型制造的关键技术。与采用立体光刻(STL)格式的方法相比,基于中性的、国际标准(ISO10303) step格式的几何模型的表示更为精确。本文介绍了我们开发的一种基于step的快速原型制造数据特征提取算法的结果。采用极值跟踪方法,提取表面切面相交线的特征数据,直接对模型进行切片。在vc++和OPENGL编程环境下,采用双循环表作为数据结构,实现了基于STEP/AP203中性文档的三维CAD模型的数据采集和分层处理。实验结果表明,该算法比STL模型更准确、稳定、高效。
