Analysis of Smart City IoT Devices Power Consumption in Long Terms in Uttarakhand State
Uttarakhand is one of the State which is full of mountains, forests flora and fauna. Dehradun is one of the Smart City selected in third round under the Smart City Mission (SCM) by the Mission of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA). The project is funded by MoHUA and Government of Uttarakhand on 50:50 financial ratio basis. Under this mission there are 40 projects. Various IoT Devices are installed under IT initiative in Dehradun City. The requirement of electricity is one of the major challenge at every site under this project. There are various energy meter installed based on the load requirement at site. These energy meters are ranging from 1 KW, 2KW and 3KW. The provision of solar is also factored for IoT devices as secondary source of power. Due to criticality of devices the UPS power supply is also provisioned at various sites. The objective of this study is to find out the requirement of electricity for further five years based on the IoT consumption and connected load data of year 2020 till September 2021. This helps DISCOMs to effectively manage all important sites where IoT devices are installed. In this paper the calculation of yearly load prediction is analyzed and based on that further five years load requirement is calculated using Artificial Neural Network.
