Car to Car hybrid Radio Frequency and Visible Light Communication Through Multi-hop Relaying
Due to the increased car accidents nowadays, many researchers have proposed the auto drive feature. Although the auto driver is still in its fancy, some practical applications lead the way that is called drive assistance. Such requests are data-hungry and require a very low delay. Two main approaches were introduced to overcome such a problem. On the one hand, legacy researchers have tried their best to push the radio frequency (RF) capabilities in one way or another. On the other hand, a new approach that arises as a competitor, ideally a replacement, to the RF approach, which is the visible light communication (VLC). In this paper, we adopt the VLC communication because it increases the data rate and decreases the delay. However, VLC has smaller coverage that needs an out-of-the-box solution to be able to gain its maximum benefits. Consequently, we proposed the Multi-hop Relaying among the pool of cars within the same road. Furthermore, we introduced the hybrid (RF/VLC) to overcome the sharp edges and complete blindness situations.
