The adopted modulation scheme is amplitude shift keying (ASK) for simple configuration with high data rate. The active circuit is the compact coplanar ASK modulation block including a 60 GHz-band fundamental mode oscillator, a buffer, and a switch. The passive circuits comprise of a dielectric waveguide filter (DWGF) and a microstrip patch antenna.
